Asphalt Sky

The first issue of Asphalt Sky is up — an online literary journal conceived by Jessica Fox-Wilson (9 to 5 poet). I’m one of the editors and am very proud of it as there’s some fantastic poetry and prose and some wonderful art. A big thank you and well done to all the contributors. And take note that the next deadline for submissions is 1 September, so get writing/painting/clicking :) !

I read you essay– it’s written in your lovely, lilting voice. Interesting to hear more about your life, as a child and then later your travels. You’ve had some adventures. Your family sounds like a warm, inviting group. I also enjoyed your exploration of language and how it has evolved over time, all told with lyricism. You’re a natural, that’s for sure. Such smooth flow to the words.

Oh thanks, Janet, but the layout and refinement are all Jessica’s, she’s done a great job. I was only involved in selection and writing.
